.....Martha is a San Francisco Bay Area artist who works with a remarkable palette of oils in a wide range of subjects. She paints with her own unique vigor and passion, inspired by the Impressionists and the more recent movement of Abstract Expressionism. Her goal is to transcend the seemingly ordinary beyond to a greater, more meaningful expression of the essence. Through her intuitive and sensitive use of color and brush stroke, the viewer may experience a new perception of our world.

......Lights, darks, and variation of color, seem to dance on the canvas in profusion of rhythm and harmony. Martha's experience with abstract concepts of design, composition and form as well as her classical painting background have given her the vehicle to evolve to her current status of one of the more innovative artists of the decade.

.....Martha also teaches workshops in composition and painting in her Belmont studio.

Academia: She has studied Fine Art at the University of Utah and Rudolph Schaeffer School of Design.
